When 𝔄 is a substructure of 𝔅, we also say that 𝔅 is an extension of 𝔄.
A submodel 𝔄 of a model 𝔅 of a (first-order) language ℒ if 𝔄 is a model of ℒ and 𝔄 is a substructure of 𝔅.
