The Knights of Columbus of Pozorrubio, St Jude Thaddeus Council 6428 annually distributes gifts on Christmas for the indigents as part of the organization’s philanthropic mission. For this Christmas 2014, selected indigents to receive gifts are those from Bobonan, Laoac, and Batakil on December 13, 2014. Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Bro. It is, and always had been, a reliving of a fairy tale of queens and princesses: this Filipino tradition of a search, a triumph of a win, a victorious parade of the royal queen and princesses, and a crowning on a night of lights and music and dance.

In Pozorrubio, the annual staging of the fairy tale gives the people a chance to rest from their works and their worries, and to smile even for just a while. But it is also more. Their fairy tale is actually not a tale at all but a truth, colourfully real and ambitiously tangible: the yearly winnings lay the foundation for infrastructure and community services to benefit the town and the people and generations thereafter.

And this is the reason why, year after year, through times sometimes easy but mostly difficult, the tale is played again and again.

This year, the 145th Foundation and 2015 Town Fiesta has for its theme: “Baley ko, agtaka lingwanan; agtaka paulyanan; aroen takan lanang” (which figuratively means “Pozorrubio, you are not forgotten, you are not neglected; you are loved, always”).

And to show us they are in keeping with the theme are three of our most beautiful and accomplished Pozorrubians. As they all were, our harvest of young Pozorrubians year after year after year.

Maricel Estabillo Aguilar is from Barangay Villegas and the daughter of Felomina G. Parzan and the late Marcelino Estabillo, and wife to Aries Lumague Aguilar. She is 34 years of age, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education graduate majoring in Mathematics from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University. She is sponsored by the DepEd community, being a Teacher I herself at Benigno V. Aldana National High School.

Mindy Nikki Diso Daylo was born and raised in Toronto**,** Canada. She is the daughter of Marcelo Maltizo Daylo and Nancy Maligsa-Diso Daylo who was originally from Barangay Manaol. She is 24 years-old. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with Psychology as minor from Ryerson University in Toronto in 2012, and currently works as Registered Nurse with the University Health Network, – Toronto Western Hospital. Mindy is sponsored by Pozorrubians in Canada and the Balikbayan Community.

Ivy Gumapac De Guzman is the 17 years of old daughter of Rolando Pascua De Guzman and Evelyn Gumapac of Barangay Malasin, She es presently a Freshman Tourism student at University of Pangasinan Phinma Education Network.
