Square Enix says that this is a screenshot from the game's E3 trailer. It's apparently taken from a realtime event scene.

Yes, it's a tease. But there's more meat to this particular tease. Square Enix also provided a glimpse today at the new character customization options that are being added as the game switches from alpha to beta. You can see that at YouTube.
