py3ksupport.appspot.com has been turned off (original) (raw)

Since download counts have been disabled on PyPI, I am shutting down this website so as to stop having to pay any hosting costs for it. At the time of closing (2013-06-03), 39 of the top 50 projects supported Python 3 (78%). Of the 11 that didn't, 4 were not being actively developed (so I prefer to think of it as 39 of the top 46 projects ported, or nearly 85% =). And based on other large projects that have reached a point of being actively/already ported, this website is not needed quite as much as it was over 2 years ago when it was started.
