http://www.python.org/doc/2.3.4/lib/module-stat.html You no longer do this: mode = os.stat(file)[ST_MODE] You instead do: mode = os.stat(file).st_mode I would happily update this doc, just tell me the correct procedure. Python has been a joy to use. libber@gmail.com Collin Greene

Logged In: YES user_id=469548 You should first get the Python source from CVS (there's a link in the bar above). When you've got the source, you should look for a file called 'libstat.text' (in dist/src/python/Doc/lib). You can update the docs for this module in that file, create a patch and submit it back to us. Oh, if some of the above was complete gibberish to you, http://python.org/dev/ is also a good source.
