missy42's Cold Shoulders Capelet 3 (original) (raw)

Hook size N (10.00mm)

November 16, 2009 I still can’t seem to get the gauge right, but I didn’t spend too much time fretting about it for this project. I did, however, have to do the foundation chain and first row about three times.

The yarn is soft and thick and fuzzy, which makes it really fun to fondle, but it makes the stitches really hard to count. The first few times, I got the wrong chain count. Being the anal nit-picker that I am, I had to get it right. On the third try, I decided to place stitch markers every ten chain stitches, double- and triple-checking that I had the right count. Once I got that first row going and confirmed that I had the proper amount of stitches, the rest of it went real fast.

December 1, 2010 Really, I had this done for a long time. I was just never satisfied with it for me, and for a long time, thought I’d modify it. Now, I’ve decided it’ll be perfect - just not perfect for me. So I’m putting it up for sale. Really, all I did today to finish it was work a few stitches that had become unravelled since setting it aside, weave in the ends and used some scrap yarn to make a cord for it.
