missy42's Yeehaw Lady of the Lake (original) (raw)

December 2, 2010 I started this WAY back in summer of 2007. It was supposed to be a birthday gift for the woman I was working for at the time, who said she was from Texas and whose birthday was in September. However, circumstances changed, she changed, and I no longer felt as giving towards her. I ended up leaving the job in November and never finished the hat, leaving just the last round unfinished - the one where you need to work in the wire. It’s been sitting in my UFO pile for over three years.

Now that I have this boutique coming up, I thought it would be really easy to finish and I’d have another item to put on the display table. So I did.

I’m not sure I like the weight of the hat. I’ve made this pattern before, but it was always with 100% cotton yarn. I think the 50% acrylic part makes it stretch out and droop more than I’d like. But, hopefully someone will like it this Saturday.
