The City Government values equity and inclusiveness as we respond to the community's need. Hence, we continuously strive to expand public service delivery through establishment of viable facilities, sustainable programs and projects and efficient outcome based customer services. This is made possible with the proactive participation of our stakeholders, partner agencies and civil society groups geared towards accelerated Economic and Investment opportunities for our people.

More so, Samal Island is a haven for leisure and pleasure, reward yourself with a well-deserved vacation in a day or two. Indulge into our sundry and fun-filled activities; climb the highlands of Puting Bato, bask into the island's 118 kilometers of white sand beaches; make your shout-outs at the deepest depression in Bito or say "hi!" to the thousands giant clams in Adecor; pacify in the cold waters of Hagimit Falls or smile back to the famous Guiness' Monfort Fruit Bats. Not to mention other natural wonders you, yourself, need to discover in our island. This is definitely an experience you should not miss!

The Office of the Vice Governor of Sarangani Province paid a courtesy call to City Mayor Al David T. Uy, represented by City Administrator Nieljun Esdrelon. The delegation also visited key offices in the city, including the City Vice Mayor’s Office headed by City Vice Mayor Lemuel T. Reyes, City Investment and Tourism Office headed by Ms. Rosabel V. Jusguan and Sangguniang Panglungsod Records Division headed by SP Secretary Aldwin Dominic J. Sayon, strengthening inter-provincial ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

On September 4, 2024, the Commission on Audit—Special Services Sector conducted a performance audit of the Department of Tourism and Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP) covering calendar years 2016 to 2023. The assessment was administered by Audit Team Supervisor Grace T. De Castro, along with Ms. Lydia R. Duzon, Ms. Flordeliza M. Culala, and Mr. Ralph Richard G. Malijan, through a survey and interviews with the relevant government personnel of the City Government of the Island Garden City of Samal.

Achieving another remarkable feat, the Local Government Unit of the Island Garden City of Samal, under the leadership of City Mayor Al David T. Uy, soared to the TOP 20 in the category OVERALL MOST COMPETITIVE COMPONENT CITY of the Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) Program for the year 2024.
