An error was discovered in the statistical significance displayed for several Average Annual Percent Change values within the report. The statistical significance has been corrected.
A footnote was found to be missing from the tables that show 5-year relative survival rates by year of diagnosis (Example: Table 2.8 (PDF, 12 KB)). In this example, the 2005-2011 relative survival rates were missing footnote e which indicates that the differences between the 2005-2011 rate and the 1975-1977 rate is statistically significant. This footnote was missing from every table of this type in the report. The footnotes have been added to the tables as necessary.
Tables presenting the both the SEER 9 1975-1977 and the SEER 9 2005-2011 5-year relative survival rates. These pages appear in CSR Sections 2 through 27. The tables appear in the following topic: 5-year Survival Rates (PDF, 463 KB)
8/20/2015
A footnote was to cite the wrong SEER areas as the data source for a subset of the tables that show 5-year relative survival rates by year of diagnosis. The 1996-1998, 1999-2001, 2002-2004 and 2005-2011 row labels for the rates were incorrectly cited as the SEER 18 areas. They were corrected to cite the SEER 9 areas.
