SWO-EDAM Merge: Overview (original) (raw)

We are currently in the process of merging the SWO and EDAM ontologies. While some of the hierarchies (e.g. SWO data format specification with EDAM Format and SWO data with EDAM Data) are relatively straightforward to merge, others (e.g. the SWO operation hierarchy) require more thought.

There are four broad stages to this merging work. As each stage is completed, a blog post will be written about exactly what work was performed. Below is an outline of the areas of work.

These posts will be written and then updated as work progresses, so once created they will not necessarily be static until the entire merge is complete. You can view all the swo-edam merge posts together by clicking on the “swo-edam merge” tag at the end of any of these posts.
