Title is taken from one of my top ten favorite movies, specifically with this quote in mind: “Did you know that cigarettes are a shield against meaningful interaction with people?”

Zuko is named for the betrayer Fire Nation Prince, a leader of street urchins in sinful Ozai City. Knowing that Sozin’s Comet is coming for the third time since it helped launch the war, Zuko and his followers are determined to use it to finally restore honor and power to the dirt poor Fire Nation. What they don’t count on is the arrival of the last surviving Airbender, a trickster named Aang who manages to derail their view on the rest of the world while simultaneously stealing Zuko’s heart.
