Will glanced up at the crescent moon that was hanging in the sky, shining like a brillant gem. The stars hung about it like tiny mirriors reflecting it, but beyond them was an abyss of endless black. Will's bright blue eyes couldn't keep still, and seemed intent on looking at every little glimmer that caught his attention. Freedan drank in the entire sky, lazily relaxing beside Will in the tall grass that reached up to the night sky.

"Eight hundred years and the sky doesn't change." Freedan smirked and ruffled Will's hair, "You know, when I was a little kid, these nights were perfect for catching fireflies. How about it? Let's se who can catch the brightest?"

"I think Shadow's beating us to it." Will smiled as he sat up, watching Shadow curiously trying to catch the glowing little night-bugs a few meters away. Freedan was up in a nano-second to join the hunt, followed by and eager Will. A cold midnight breeze pushed back the grass in waves that lapped at the three pairs of legs that stood amongst the blades.

"Come on, Will. I've got the brightest one!" Freedan laughed, holding up his trophy bagged in the end of his cape. He suddenly smirked, "Or do I?"

"What?" Shadow looked to Freedan quickly, "Where is he-- hey!" Shadow looked down to see two arms wrapped around him in a concluded pounce, "So I'm a firefly now?" He looked over his shoulder curiously to Will.

Will smiled, "I win." The dark night sky was illuminated by only this glow, and the glow of the natural ornaments in the sky; The moon and stars that hung sleepily above.
