Tutorial for uploading moodthemes (!) (original) (raw)

This tutorial is based on crackified but I've decided to make it more detailed, complete with screenshots just in case you're new to this and seem rather lost. :]

Alternatively, you may refer to her original posts here and here.

BASIC ACCOUNTS

Extract the files by installing RarLab.

Uploading manually is troublesome but if you don't mind doing it everytime you post, then just follow this simple steps.

Use Imageshack to upload the moodthemes or either Photobucket.

This is byfar, the easier way to post by its by manual of course. However, you can always switch to Plus account and revert back when you're done. ;)

Leave everything blank under Mood and Music. Location isn't necessary but you won't want it to appear "messy", right?

Now place this inside your entry box before your entries under the HTML format not the Rich text. Note that you should change the mood, example if you were feeling calm and using the calm moodtheme, change it to calm.

[mood| calm ]
[music| Hysteria - Muse ]

And now you're done!

PLUS/PAID ACCOUNTS

Firstly, you'll need Flock(you'll need a Photobucket account of course and its free so just sign up for one) to upload all 132 moodthemes at one go although sometimes there'll be errors in processing but that's fine as long as you'll log into your photobucket account and delete any "extras" that have been uploaded twice and that you have ONLY 132 images in that specific folder.

Now, after you've installed Flock, click on the icon called "Photos" and then log in using your Photobucket username and password. Next, click on the uploader button.

Click on "Choose photos" and select everything EXCEPT the adminconsoles.txt file. It'll take a while if you select the whole bunch at once to appear. Now, to make sure you've uploaded ALL 132 moodthemes, look at the Upload details and if it states 132 which means you've selected correctly. Note that you should NOT resize your photos under Upload settings for Photobucket unless you want them to turn out looking weird.

Under Album settings, create a new album and for example if you're using the Kozi moodtheme, just name it to Kozi or to your own liking.

After which, you'll see You've succesfully uploaded your photos after it has finished uploading everything.

Now, head on to your Admin console and type moodtheme_create Title of moodtheme Description. If you can't figure it out, just use this as an example, moodtheme_create Kozi k. In this case, 'Kozi' will be the name of your moodtheme when you select it under the Look and Feel options. IMPORTANT : SAVE THE NUMBER THAT IT HAS ASSIGNED YOU TO, which for eg. would be a 5 letter digit - '66699'

Then, open up your adminconsoles.txt file and click CTRL & H and under Find what, type 12345 and then under Replace with the number that it assigned you earlier on which in this case would be 66699. Hit REPLACE ALL.

Next, click CTRL & H again and Find what, type http://www.hosting.com and then under Replace with the url to your photobucket account's folder where you uploaded the moodtheme. Eg. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v603/blahblahblah/moodtheme WITHOUT the '/' Hit REPLACE ALL.

Paste everything inside the Admin console and hit execute.

Go to your Look and Feel in Edit Journal style under the Mood Icons and choose Kozi(or the name of your moodtheme which you've named earlier on) and you're done!

Alternatively, you can always edit manually all 132 images by inserting the urls inside the Custom Mood Editor.
