Glen Waverley Line

Information:
The Glen Waverley line is a suburban electrified railway line, which shares track between Flinders Street and Burnley with the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines. It is double-track through from Burnley to Glen Waverley, and features an intermediate terminating location at Darling. The line features two at-grade crossings with Tramways at Kooyong and Gardiner, and steep grades beyond Holmesglen.

The line formerly intersected with the Outer Circle railway at East Malvern.

Operations:
The line operates as a suburban electric service in both directions, mainly stopping all stations service and several expresses during weekday peak times. No freight services operate on this line.
