Le lamine di Pyrgi 60 anni dopo la scoperta: scavi, ricerche e significato
L'8 luglio 1964, negli scavi del santuario di Pyrgi avveniva una scoperta eccezionale: in un'area a lato del tempio B, insieme ad altri materiali provenienti dallo stesso tempio, venivano riportate alla luce tre lamine d'oro, avvolte sui chiodi usati per affiggerle. Due delle lamine recavano testi in etrusco e una in fenicio. La portata della scoperta fu subito evidente e diede inizio a una fitta storia degli studi. Cosa veniva dedicato nel santuario? Chi era l'autore di una dedica così preziosa? Si poteva finalmente contare su una traduzione dell'etrusco attraverso il fenicio? Che ruolo avevano i Fenici in luogo sacro nei pressi di Cerveteri?
