NEWS:
- April 1, 2020. Calls for Papers. Operations Research. Special Issue on Behavioral Queueing Science.
Submission Deadline: April 1, 2020 extended to June 1, 2020
Customers and servers in queueing systems co-produce service. Successful design and operation of queueing systems requires an empirically-grounded understanding of how customers and servers behave and mathematical models that incorporate salient aspects of customer and server behavior. In this special issue, we aim to publish articles that advance knowledge about how servers and customers behave and interact, and how such behaviors can be inferred, modelled and analyzed. We wish to advance the dialogue between empirical researchers, data scientists, and mathematical modelers.

QUEUEING JOURNALS
- "Queueing Systems: Theory and Applications (QUES) (first issue 1986) is a well-established journal focusing on the theory of resource sharing in a wide sense, particularly within a network context. The journal is primarily interested in probabilistic and statistical problems in this setting."
https://link.springer.com/journal/11134 - "Queueing Models and Service Mananagement (first issue 2018) is an international refereed journal devoted to the publication of original research papers specializing in queueing systems, queueing networks, reliability and maintenance, service system optimization, service management, and applications in queueing models or networks. The journal publishes theoretical papers using analytical methods or developments of significant methodologies. QMSM publishes works of originality, quality and significance, with particular emphasis given to practical results. Practical papers, illustrating the applications of queueing and service management problems, are of special interest. QMSM is sponsored by the Providence University,Taichung,Taiwan."
