"West Kirby 1841" is a history project designed to show a snapshot of the village focussing on (but not limited to) life a century and a half ago.

The foundation comes from the first full UK census of 1841 but it is closely tied to the tithe records from around the same time. Supplemental information comes from Victorian newspapers which casts a wider net over developments from the entire Victorian period.
