It the central square of Ulaanbaatar, named after and features a statue of Damdin Sükhbaatar, the leader of Mongolia's 1921 revolution, and statues of Genghis Khan and two of his generals in front of the Government House, a monument for Jamsrangiin Sambuu on the northwestern corner, and another one for Sanjaasürengiin Zorig across the intersection on the southwestern corner.

Sükh-baatar means Red Hero in Mongolian.
This is the place where many Mongolians love to come to relax. Sometimes, you can also see a live concert here.
