CBS News ‘Up to the Minute’ to End (original) (raw)
CBS News is canceling overnight news program Up to the Minute, Newsday’s Verne Gay reports.
The program, which launched as CBS News Nightwatch in 1982, before evolving into Up to the Minute in 1992, will end in mid-September. Anne-Marie Green is the current anchor of Up to the Minute. She also anchors CBS Morning News, which airs just before the early morning local news on CBS affiliates. Past Up to the Minute anchors have included Russ Mitchell, Sharyl Attkisson and Mika Brzezinski.
