This has become my go to book for all sorts of inspiration, comfort and help. When I made the transition into Paganism I felt that I was missing the psalm-like quality of prayers from my youth. This helped me find it within my new belief. I have memorized some and used others in different rituals. It never ceases to offer me comfort and provide me with words that I many not be able to find at the moment. But it has also inspired me to write my own prayers and encouraged me in my beliefs. It is dog-eared and all marked up and goes with me to many places. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pagan prayer book.

this book is beautiful, i cannot praise this work enough. this author is truly gifted to be able to write such strong and meaningful praises to the gods. besides lovely adorations and mantras the author helps the reader to build a template to write their own prayers and suggestions on personal devotionals to ones patron gods and goddesses to include offerings/sacrifices and rosaries. he expresses a desire to encourage a sort of pagan piety- through this book he demonstrates his own devotion. the book opens with a discussion on why prayer is important from a pagan perspective in order to build a solid religious practice. the sections of the book include prayers for the times of day, month, seasonal prayers, transitional stages in life, and much more. this is an invaluable tool for anyone who is a neopagan or interested in neopaganism to build a solid foundation of devotion and right practice.

The Book of Pagan Prayer is a very good book for those who are Pagans and feel that prayer is something that only the Patriarchal religions do. It gives the fine points of understanding and then supplies examples that you can use. Or you can just use them without making the effort of making one up. I personally used the Travel By Air Prayer recently when I was flying across country. I added my own as well to the appropriate deity.
I have used the morning prayers and well as the evening ones. There is every type of prayer that can be imagined listed in this book and each is a good jumping off point for those that would like to use a non-Patriarchal image and devote as little time or a much time as you wish to praying to the deities of your choice.

This book was recommended to me by another pagan. I think the concept is great, and it's certainly a well researched book. However, some of the prayers just don't resonate with me, and I think that's to be expected. As a prayer book in itself, it's excellent, covering many subjects, from praise to just wanting help with a problem. The fact that some prayers don't resonate with me, is merely my belief system clashing with some of the prayers that appear to be a bit "oh please help me" kind of thing. You can adapt them to your own belief system however and change the words to suit yourself. Having not seen many books like this out there (if any?), I think it's a gem and you'd get a lot of use out of it.

Ceisiwr Serith exceeds and never disappooints. This has been my go to book for years! I have given it as a gift several times and donated it to some who feel the need as well as used it to donate for the prize for drawings at raffles at events raising money. Everyone who follows this path has found this a great help so far as anyone I have talked to. I keep an extra copy most times, just in case!
Cei has come out with another book that I hope to order at some soon point, though it has been out for a while. It is with a red cover and the title currently escapes me. It will augment what is in this copy and has additional material, from what I have read about it.
This book is a great help with contemplation as well as a spring board for ones own practice and prayers in writing and devotions. I recommend this work.
GREAT SERVICE! Great copy! Happy to GET THIS BOOK!

I had the first print of this book and it was not very user friendly but the revamped newer version is not only user friendly but allows the reader to use more creativity. I love this book and use it every day.

i have actually owned this book for 3 years before i really sat down to read it. It was given to me by an acquaintance who had found Jesus (it is funny my spell check doesn't know the word "Jesus"?) after 10 years of Wicca. She didn't want to burn her books, but she couldn't keep them. So this little green book has sat unread and unappreciated on my shelf for a long time.
The author has actually thought about and dissected the very idea of prayer from a pagan perspective. Everything from the spoken word tot he posture to the idea of the offering and all of the whys - not just the words and the hows are addressed and discussed. i don't like all of the prayers presented - some of them are completely not my style, and yet, the thought and effort that goes into each one of them, and the explanation given for every section, definitely makes this book a worthwhile purchase, and beyond a doubt a valuable and thought-provoking read.

This book is my go-to when I hit a block writing ritual or more general adorations. A solid half of the recitations in my daily practice either come directly from this book, or are modifications of the same.

I really love this book! It’s actually my favourite book right now. I found it very interesting, and helpful. It’s a really great buy. I have a million books on paganism but this was definitely a great read and different than most of the books I own. I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking to deepen their relationship to the gods and have even more of a creative outlet in doing so.

A very good little (though thick) book on pagan prayers. Not only a list of prayers themselves but also all the how and why that will help you make up your own.
Only drawback is the number of sentences beginning with "I" right at the beginning of the book, and throughout it...
