Album Great/Jewel case trashed

TNT is a great collection of Tanya Tucker's music and I still love the vinyl album I bought in 1978. I finally got around to ordering the CD from Amazon to add to my collection. The CD itself is in good condition, but the jewel case is cracked and pieces broken off. It didn't happen in shipment because none of the broken pieces are in the shipping container, so it had to have gone into the package that way. I'm excited about the purchase but very disappointed with the broken jewel case.

This album is my favorite of all of Tanya's Albums and I own all either as vinyl or CD. I Used to hike the AT and On Snowbird Mountain in a Cold Rainy day, I mentally used " Goodbye Lover " to keep my focus. Hypothermia was setting in and I knew it. We were looking for a radio beacon on top of Snowbird Mountain to Stop and pitch our one man tents. I Immediately got into the Army sleeping bag, getting warm was more important than food. I woke up at 2 AM refreshed and watched the sunrise at Snowbird Mountain after falling asleep again. This has been my favorite album before and after Snowbird Mountain. There is a vinyl album recorder by Tanya " Tear Me Apart " which is my second favorite. I have two of them and cannot find them on a CD but this was back in her California Days and her dad took her away from the scene and back to Nashville. I am 77 years old now so backpacking on the AT is a thing of the past but I have my memories which of course included playing TNT in my head was a part of it. Even without the Snowbird experience, I rate this as her best albums!

This is the album that finally hooked me completely on the music of Tanya Tucker. This album literally jumped in my pocket as I walked through the record store back in 1979 and boy am I glad it did. Nashville was shocked that Tanya would try and go pop/rock and even more shocked by the albums's center art. That pic should have been included in miniature in this CD but was not. But in reality this is and was a country/rock recording. The big hit was Texas (When I Die) still a crowd favorite. The singles released to pop did not fare well but are wonderful. The sizzling Lover Goodbye opens the set followed by the plaintive and pretty I'm The Singer You're The Song. The rocking and gorgeuos version of Not Fade Away gets your blood circulating. This was a jukebox favorite at a bar I used to patronize while in the military. My personal favorite is the somber Angel From Montgomery and Tanya really nails it. Track five is a gorgeous ditty called Brown Eyed Handsome Man. I had heard Waylon Jenning's version which Tanya completely blows away with hers. Another country hit and beautiful piece is The River And The Wind. Track 8 If You Feel It gets those feet to moving. It's Nice To Be With you is another mid-tempo ballad that perfectly suits Tanya's throaty, sultry delivery. All in all this CD gives the listener a lot of variety as far as song selection and let's you hear that wonderful voice. And at this price it is a STEAL.

I was 'raised' on Tonyas' music, but it wasn't until a year ago I actually invested in her music for myself. I downloaded about all the hits I remembered.. but I still wanted more. There really is no substitute for a full blown album. The songs on this tend to feed off each other as any true disc should, and then you have Tanya getting her feet wet in a *very rocking* new direction; a delectable recipe for sure. I generally do not care for 'cover songs'.. it was only after I downloaded this that I learned many of these songs were not hers.. but ya know.. they feel like hers and that's what's important.

This album just sizzles! The opener, 'Lover Goodbye' gets the hooks started, then the disc spins into a surprisingly deep ballad.. for a 2nd track; 'I'm the Singer, You're the Song. The album then floors it on the 3rd song.. 'Not Fade Away' is as good as I've heard Tanya dish it out.. amazing! The 4th songs seals the deal; Angel from Montgomery is already in my top 5 Tanya songs.. after 5 listens.. The rest of the disc is no slouch -- the wholly original closer -- Texas (When I Die) is to die for. I only lopped off a star because no matter how great this cd is, the songs have been done -- but I doubt have ever sounded this good, that goes for Elvis's Hound Dog as well -- he may be the king, but Tanya's my queen.

My favorite vinyl as a teenager and finally found it on CD, yeah!! Tanya was ahead of her time trying some 'rocky' country that didn't go over well back in the 70's, but now would fit right in the new country genre. Tear Me Apart is also another great rocky country album from Tanya but could not find it on CD anywhere, so I converted my vinyl to digital with a USB record player I purchased on Amazon.

I love me some Tanya Tucker, Kenny Cook and I made a baby girl Named Jenniferlynn , while listening and romancing this record in 1979 . Although things did not work out we kept our records and now cds to Tanya Tucker, she has remained a part of our lives.

This is an early release from Tanya Tucker. It does contain a couple of her early country hits such as Texas(When I Die) and I.m the Singer You're the Song but does show her attempt to rock out a bit. Any fan of hers that also likes some rock to their music will love this.

I wasn't really crazy about her in her younger days but this cd is more on the rock side compared to her country roots. Its a good cd that has rock n roll as well as soft music.
