Though his music and this album are great, I have to say Amazon you made had a very bad time with those purchases. Most of them arrived broken to the people I sent them to in different countries. Please, be more careful the next time.

Good album the album was so great but the song is just too much to listen too much and I can’t even get into the lyrics to the album and the song was just so much more interesting and fun and I loved the lyrics so I think I would like it if you could give it a try I would really appreciate that I think it was really cool to hear that you like the music I think it’s a great album I love it so I would love it to come back and listen I think it’s really great and it’s a great piece I think I love the album and it’s really cool and it’s a really great album

I was driving home when I heard "Stay with me" but the sun was in the car and I couldn't see who the artist was. It sounded so good that I pulled over, grabbed a shopping bag to shield the radio screen from the sun and saw the name Sam Smith. I'd never heard of the guy (I know. . . I'm definitely slipping!!!) and thought this guy was an oldie that I'd somehow missed. When I got home, I Google'd him and saw that this is Sam's debut album. I immediately ordered it from Amazon. WOW!!! LOVE THE ENTIRE ALBUM. I saw his videos/interviews on U Tube and loved him there too. OLD SCHOOL MUSIC that's been missing for years!! I checked his concert tour and the venue in my area is sold out, but I'll keep checking back. I Can't wait to see him in person. He's the REAL DEAL! KEEP SINGING THE GOOD STUFF SAM!!!

I became LP fan and collector from the beginning of this 2015 year. I have been listening this wonderful voice every day in my office, in my car, on the road. I both it because of: 1. the artist and the music, and 2. because of the title of the album. I love it, the quality of LP is very high and it really delivers outstanding sound. It came very much on time,very well arranged and protected. Please do not hesitate for a minute to purchase the record from this seller. Buy it with great confidence, and once you have it, sit and enjoy the quality of the music record.

Smith showcases his knack for pleading to his listeners. It's a brilliant first album that explores the pathos of a young, gay man defying convention to break new ground. His fame arrives via a successfully delivery of "Latch", his most popular song from Disclosure's "Settle".
Listeners expecting the vibrant flavor of "Latch" will be disappointed, because this album is NOT a dance-pop record. The tracks mimic the soundscapes of mainstays like Coldplay and Seal. Although not underwhelming, It means that Smith's team concentrate on safe, slow burning material.
"Restart" is the brightest track in the set. Restart is jazzy with much balladry interspersed throughout. "Good Thing" mixes piano, acoustic guitar, and vocals. "Make It To Me" is yet another song about lonely nights that reads as the fraternal twin of "Stay With Me".
"I'm Not The Only One" complains about the distress and violation over a love's betrayal. "You say I'm crazy cause you don't think I know what you've done". "I've Told You Now" is a great song that reminds us how painful the truth can be, when confrontation is anything but easy.
So why should you consider the album?
The voice! Although the material is ridiculously calculated, the talent transcends the material. From a person who may have never been in love, Sam Smith sure convinces the listeners of the catharsis of suffering.

I only recently learned Sam Smith existed, and I rushed straight to Amazon to acquire some of his music. Imagine my shock to see his DEBUT album was coming out in June. I immediately pre-ordered a copy and set about waiting for it to arrive. Every song on the album is a hit. I have no doubt whatsoever that this album will be a huge winner at next year's Grammys. There's another song out there that Sam sings called Nirvana that I wish was included on this cd. I love you, Sam Smith, and I look forward to years of wonderful music coming from your pitch perfect voice.

This gospel infused album by this young English kid with a big voice is excellent. Like Hosier's new album, it blurs the lines between classic gospel and pop music. It is eminently easy to listen to and all of the songs are quite different from each other. That being said, most of these are sad songs the revolve around a breakup, so it's best not to be depressed when listening to them. One would think that given the title of the album, that is pretty much a given but, I have seem comments on Amazon about the album being "depressing". Well, yes, it is. However, Mr. Smith has an excellent voice and writes very good lyrics. No wonder he is being touted as a male Adele.

I feel as if I should review this album because of how wrong I was about Sam Smith.
After hearing Money on my Mind, I felt that Sam would be the type of artist that I would love and he would go places. Previously featuring on tracks such as Latch with Disclosure. He seemed to be going in the music route that I enjoyed. However, he then released Stay With Me, which I enjoyed and could sing along to but it wasn't really my cup of tea as far as music genre goes. I then enjoyed his next single I'm Not The Only One but again it wasn't my cup of tea. So I decided to give the album a pass. However, a few months ago, a friend of mine purchased the album and recommended it to me a lot so I decided to listen and I was blown away. A lot of the songs are quite slow and intimate songs that clearly showcase Sam's emotions and some of the songs do get me quite emotional. For example, Lay Me Down is a song about Sam's grandmother passing away (I believe) which is heart breaking but it is also a beautiful song which showcases Sam's powerful voice.
After hearing the album, I decided to join my friend for Sam's 'In The Lonely Hour Tour' next year in Spring (may I add that he had to create a whole new tour because his one in October this year sold out so fast!) I am very excited to see Sam's performance. Favourites on the album are Restart and Like I Can (which I may add are more.. upbeat songs.) and Lay Me Down which is a more slow song. But they are all beautiful.

Sam Smith ist mir das erste Mal aufgefallen, als er den Song 'Latch' mit Disclosure aufnahm. Egal ob tiefe oder höhe Töne, jeder Ton sitzt, auch live! Ich finde es wirklich unglaublich wie gut dieser junge Mann singen kann. Seine Stimme ist sehr warm und kräftig.
Nach dem Song 'Latch' hat er seine erste Single 'Safe with me' veröffentlicht. Diese kann ich auch nur jedem empfehlen, dem auch das Album gefallen hat.
Die Songs auf dem Album gefallen mir auch alle sehr. Das Album ist abwechslungsreich und seine Stimme berührt einfach. Die emotionalsten Songs sind meiner Meinung nach 'Make it to me' und 'Life Support'. Ich weiß nicht wie oft ich dieses Album schon gehört habe, aber mittlerweile bestimmt schon über 15 Mal. Der Typ singt einfach unglaublich und ich freue mich jetzt schon auf das zweite Album.
Im Prinzip ist er das männliche Gegenstück zu Adele: Beide im gleichen Genre, beides Briten, beide haben unfassbare Stimmen.
Viel Spaß mit dem Album! 5 Sterne!

Got it for 270, lost myself. There was a crack in the case but forgot about it after I listened to it. It has "India Edition" printed all over it. I was worried about recording quality, but it blew me away. Quality is on par with the best. If you like Sam Smith, you should buy one now. If you haven't tried Sam Smith, this CD will be worth every penny @ 270. Loved it. Superb quality, reasonable price. I wish good CDs are priced like this.. :-)

Estas canciones cantadas en una voz cualquiera, no valdría en absoluto la pena. Sin embargo, en voz de Sam Smith quedan muy bien porque tiene una voz muy potente; la cuestión es que se ha arriesgado bastante poco en cuanto a sonidos. Por su parte, las letras están bien, son muy bonitas y tiene unas canciones que valen muchísimo la pena. Aun así, es su álbum debut y generalmente el primer álbum suele ser de descubrimiento de estilos, así que espero que para el siguiente se ponga las pilas y haga algo mucho más sincero para que pueda sacar potencial a esa pedazo de voz que tiene.
Le doy 5 estrellas por la voz y las letras de algunas canciones.
