The Battle River Watershed Alliance is made up of the people who live, work, and play in the Battle River and Sounding Creek watersheds. We are landowners, community members, business people, researchers, and decision-makers. We work together to ensure a stable economy, healthy natural areas, and resilient communities in this place that we love.
Blogging the Battle
The goal of this blog is to share information about our local environment, communities and their wellbeing, water management, climate, and the economy. We want to engage the community with what is happening in their watershed.
Moving from awareness to action
Moving from awareness to action is a lofty goal. We are asking Battle River and Sounding Creek residents, municipalities, and others to help shift the current reality into something new. For the last 10 years, we have been building a Watershed Management Plan that features 12 components that will help governments, landowners, and residents learn to take purposeful action to improve the watershed.
Working together, this is our opportunity to re-shape our landscape. We hope you join us.
