Perhaps you didn't know, but it's scientifically proven that music can make you more cheerful. It can make you feel better, live longer and smell nicer.

Danny Robins Music Therapy puts the amazing power of music to work - generally improving the world and solving problems sent in by you, the Radio 4 listeners.

Danny is the ultimate musical agony aunt and his mission takes him all across the country. Each week Danny is joined by regular assistant Isy Suttie (Dobby from Peep Show) and some exciting musical guests. Together they create customised musical solutions to listeners' dilemmas.

Episode 1 With special guests beatboxer Beardyman and the Finchley Children’s Music Group choir. Problems include giving traffic wardens a boost and working as an in-store DJ at a fishmongers.

Episode 2
Danny and Isy are joined by Status Quo tribute band Statin' Quo to perform a new town anthem for Middlesbrough.

Episode 3
'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria' winner Connie Fisher joins the team to help the worst five-a-side-football team in the country (played 82, won 2).

Episode 4
Rapper Doc Brown is on hand to help dish out the musical remedies and Danny shows why the bagpipes should be loved and not reviled.

DANNY ROBINSDanny Robins is a comedian, presenter and writer.

He is the star of BBC 3’s Mischief strand of documentaries and is a presenter on BBC 2’s The Culture Show. On radio, he is best known for Radio 4’s Sony nominated comedy series The Museum of Everything, his own series Oneclick/Comedy on Radio 1 and his contributions to Radio 4’s Jon Ronson On, Front Row and Radio 2’s That Was Then This Is Now.

In the name of harnessing the power of music he has already arranged a festival in his flat, learnt to rap, become a folkie, been made-over as a Goth in Whitby and interviewed Morrissey.
