Hannah Montana, Mariah Carey Hit The Billboard Hot 100
Hannah Montana edges out Mariah Carey on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, as Miley Cyrus’ TV alter ego claims her first top 10 on the chart. “He Could Be the One” debuts at No. 10, just above Carey’s “Obsessed,” which debuts at No. 11. But Carey’s entry on the Hot 100 this week is her fortieth, making her just the eighth woman in the chart’s history to make 40 or more appearances. Cyrus/Montana have 28 entries on the Hot 100 chart.

“Obsessed,” from Carey’s forthcoming album “Memoirs of an imperfect Angel,” is also her highest Hot 100 debut since 1998.
In the top 10, the Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Gotta Feeling” once again scores the week’s greatest airplay increase and holds onto its No. 1 spot. Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” rises to No. 2, the Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” slips to No. 3, Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down,” featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo, remains at No. 4, and Sean Kingston‘s “Fire Burning” climbs 6-5. Taylor Swift‘s “You Belong With Me” climbs 9-6, Lady GaGa‘s “LoveGame” falls 5-7, and Pitbull‘s “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” maintains at No. 8. Jeremih‘s “Birthday Sex” falls 7-9.
At No. 22, Boys Like Girls‘ “Love Drunk” notches its highest ranking on the chart and its best weekly download total, with 92,000 tracks. Texas rapper Dorrough’s self-titled debut album, due Aug. 4, should get a boost from “Ice Cream Paint Job,” which rises to No. 57 from No. 64 this week. Another summer tune, Hannah Montana’s “Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill),” debuts at No. 87.

Elsewhere on the charts, Britney Spears‘ “Radar” debuts on the Mainstream Top 40 chart at No. 35. With “Radar,” the fourth single from her “Circus” album, Spears breaks her tie with Nelly for the most Mainstream Top 40 hits of any act since 2000 – with 21.
Jonas Brothers find themselves on a rather unlikely chart — the Hot Dance Club Songs tally. “Paranoid,” courtesy of uptempo remixes from the likes of Soul Seekerz and Dave Aude, debuts at No. 48 on the tally. It’s the JoBros. first Dance Club chart hit.
Over on the Alternative radio airplay chart, Kings of Leon nets its third top 10 single as “Notion” rises 12-10. All three of the band’s top 10 hits are from its current album “Only By the Night.”
