Founded in the United States in 1843, B’nai B’rith is the oldest and largest international Jewish community service organisation, uniting Jewish people of all levels of religious belief and practice who share in the aims of Tikkun Olam (making the world a better place).

B’nai B’rith International is a staunch defender of the State of Israel, advocates for global Jewry and champions the cause of human rights of all people. B’nai B’rith is recognised as a vital voice in combatting anti-Semitism, promoting Jewish unity and continuity, a leader in disaster relief and assisting communities in crisis, a provider of safe and affordable housing for low-income older adults and a tireless advocate on behalf of seniors.

With a presence in 59 countries around the world, B’nai B’rith is the Global Voice of the Jewish Community.

In Australasia B’nai B’rith is based in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand.

A wide range of activities and projects are undertaken in each city within the framework of the Mission Statement of B’nai B’rith International. Each region also endeavours to meet local community needs.
