Rehabilitation in Progress
Update April 2024
The Historic Bridge Foundation took over Bridgehunter.com after the untimely death of its creator, James Baughn, and at the request of James’s parents. Soon after taking ownership, HBF realized that the website code had become increasingly outdated and unable to handle the needs of its users and the ever-expanding database of bridges and photos, thus requiring a complete recoding to ensure compatibility with current technology, and to provide capacity for continued expansion. Bridgehunter.com is being reconstructed to match the original site functionality and will focus on essential aspects of its design and purpose. The Historic Bridge Foundation is committed to preserving this resource while updating the underlying technology to improve reliability and speed. We are focusing on maintaining the integrity of the past while upgrading for future needs. .
