The Cabinet is the principal instrument of policy and is charged with the general direction and control of the Government of Jamaica.

WHAT WE DO
MANAGING POLICY DEVELOPMENT ON BEHALF OF CABINET
The Cabinet Recording Secretariat and the Policy Analysis and Review Unit (PARU) are responsible for supporting collective government and helping to ensure the effective development, coordination and implementation of policy.
GOVERNMENT PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & EVALUATION
The Performance Management and Evaluation Branch (PMEB) works primarily with the Ministries and their portfolio Departments and Agencies to improve their strategic planning, performance monitoring and evaluation and reporting processes.
NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY COORDINATION
The Office of the National Security Advisor (ONSA) is primarily responsible for: the administration of the National Security Council; oversight and coordination of the implementation of national security policies; the provision of advice and technical support on security matters; and cooperation and coordination across the country’s security apparatus with local, regional, and international partners.
