Working Together to Improve the Mathematical Science Community
The Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences, Inc. (CBMS) is an umbrella organization consisting of twenty professional societies all of which have as one of their primary objectives the increase or diffusion of knowledge in one or more of the mathematical sciences. Its purpose is to promote understanding and cooperation among these national organizations so that they work together and support each other in their efforts to promote research, improve education, and expand the uses of mathematics.

Reports on the Need for Grades 9-14 Mathematical Sciences Framework (2024) and Recruitment/Retention of Mathematics Teachers (2024), and position papers on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (2021), Active Learning (2016), Improving the First Two Year of College Mathematics (2015), the Common Core State Standards in Math (2013).

CBMS Research Advisory Group
The goal of the CBMS Research Advisory Group is to inform the policy decisions that affect mathematics education.
On August 26, 2017, representatives of CBMS societies and other organizations met in a workshop co-sponsored by TPSE for the inaugural meeting of the Research Advisory Group.

The Conference Board of Mathematical Sciences has twenty members, whose primary objectives include advancing the mathematical sciences.
