Our heritage
On 30 November 1905, Chemring Group was originally founded on the south coast of England as the British, Foreign & Colonial Automatic Light Controlling Company Ltd. In the beginning, Chemring manufactured and installed key equipment needed to transform the UK’s street lighting from gas to electricity. Since then, we have significantly extended our capabilities.
