We strive to protect the interests of chiropractic and position the profession through stakeholder management programs. We are also focused on helping to advance the profession by promoting it to scholars through our career guidance program.

Chiropractic in South Africa

Chiropractic is popular in South Africa and is quickly becoming the local go-to for reliable, cost-effective treatment and therapy. A recent study found that the average age of a South African chiropractic patient is 41.8 years old. This is an indication that countless people ignore their suffering for as long as possible. Chronic conditions and afflictions shouldn’t be left for years before the patient seeks treatment and pain relief. Chiropractic care is not restricted to people over the age of 40 – it has the power to benefit the young and old. Most medical aids in South Africa reimburse patients for chiropractic care. The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act provides for complete reimbursement of cases treated by registered chiropractors. Chiropractic care is, therefore, one of the most cost-effective forms of treatment for neuromusculoskeletal (nerve, muscle, skeletal) conditions in South Africa.
