Announcement: Chief, Iain A. Gunn of Gunn
I have the unenviable task of confirming the news coming out of Scotland that our Chief, Iain A. Gunn of Gunn has passed away.
Iain was instrumental in the resurgence of Clan Gunn. He was the Commander of the Clan Gunn Society for c.40 years before being named Chief. I cannot overstate how important he was to our current Clan Gunn societies. It was his great wish that all who claim a connection with the Clan Gunn, join together to honor our ancestral past. Those who fly our flag, wear our tartan and proudly proclaim, “Aut Pax Aut Bellum” owe Iain our deepest respect and gratitude.
On behalf of the Clan Gunn Society of North America, I know all of you join me in giving Iain’s wife Bunty, his son John, daughter Helen and their families our most sincere condolences.
Clan Gunn Society of North America President,
Kris Wilson
