Graduating from university can often led to a band's demise.
Tackling new opportunities, moving to new places – these can all lead to music, sadly, taking second place.
Faded Paper Figures formed at university (or, as our American cousins prefer, college) and are now scattered across the United States.
However the trio's commitment, their dogged belief in the music they create, has led to them working beyond the confines of graduation. Second album 'Relics' will be released on August 25th in the UK, with Shorthand Records stepping in to assist the band.
It's another batch of forward thinking electro pop, with the glistening production shrouding a chassis which borrows from indie rock songcraft.
Fancy an example? Well, Clash is delighted to be able to stream new track 'Spare Me'. With its emotive songcraft and delicate arrangement, comparisons could be made with cult Death Cab For Cutie offshoot The Postal Service.
