Rulemaking Proceedings Under Section 1201 of Title 17 (original) (raw)
The Copyright Office has concluded the ninth triennial rulemaking proceeding under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Title 17, section 1201, of the United States Code. More information is available here.
As in the eighth triennial rulemaking, for the ninth proceeding, the Office employed a streamlined process for renewing existing exemptions. Renewed exemptions remain in force for an additional three-year period (October 2024 – October 2027). For more information, see our tutorials on this page.
