2013 NFL Draft: Vikings Trade With Buccaneers (original) (raw)

The Minnesota Vikings have traded the 189th overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tampa Bay then used the 189th overall pick to select University of Miami running back Mike James.

This means that the Vikings now have three seventh-round picks again. The 229th overall pick was the one that they originally sent to the New England Patriots in the trade that allowed them to move up to select Cordarrelle Patterson, but the Patriots then traded it to the Buccaneers in a subsequent trade.

So, after traversing the East Coast, one of the picks that the Vikings had when the 2013 NFL Draft started is now back in Rick Spielman's possession again.

Can't say that it hasn't been an interesting day for the Vikings, eh?

We'll be back here with the 196th overall pick shortly.
