Exempted from the roster are Christian Ballard, Jerome Felton, DeMarcus Love and Greg Childs. Ballard is exempted and is on the list for having left the squad voluntarily (we still don't know why). Felton and Love are suspended, Jerome Felton for a DUI and Love for violating the NFL's PED rules. Greg Childs is currently on PUP for his bilateral patellar tendon tear, which he sustained last year in training camp.

Seth Olsen was moved to IR for the concussion he sustained in the final preseason game.

Remember, this is not likely to be the roster on opening day—the Vikings will look to add talent through trades and signing players who have been waived or released. So a heavy corps of linebackers or light corps of cornerbacks shouldn't be too concerning.
