Chef Nick Nairn organises think-tank on school meals after seeing Scots schoolgirl's blog (original) (raw)
A SCHOOLGIRL’S blog has inspired a Scots chef to organise a think-tank on school meals.
Nick Nairn, 53, decided to act after seeing the pictures Martha Payne, nine, posted of the food at Lochgilphead Primary in Argyll.
Martha became an internet sensation after posting pictures of the £2 meals and rating them for taste and healthiness.
Almost one million people have viewed her blog.
Yesterday, Nairn said: “I’ve been concerned about school meals in Scotland for some time.
“I know how hard all school staff work with limited resources but we have to do something.”
The first meeting of the think-tank will take place at Nick’s Lake of Menteith Cook School on June 13.
