FALKIRK boss Peter Houston yesterday sealed the deals to add five new signings to his squad.
The Bairns have snapped up freed Hearts keeper Jamie MacDonald and released Hibs midfielder Tom Taiwo.
They were joined by former Ross County winger Alex Cooper on a two-year deal and ex-Norwich kid Peter Grant.
The Championship side also confirmed the appointment of Alan Maybury as Under-20s coach and a player for the coming campaign.
And midfielder Sibbald has also handed the Bairns a boost by signing a three-year contract extension
Houston said: “I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to sign a quality goalkeeper like Jamie, albeit just for a year.
“Last year, he played in a Hearts team that was struggling and excelled.
“He’s a great keeper and his experience gained in the last few years will be
invaluable to us this season.
“He has only signed for a year but that is because he has ambition to play at a higher level.
“I was surprised that Hearts let him go but that’s proved to be a plus for us.
“Tom didn’t do as well last season, I think, due to Hibs struggling and the changes in management .
“He just needs a run of games under somebody who has confidence in him and I certainly like him as a player.”
