Fifteen to One to return for full series and celebrity specials (original) (raw)
Channel 4 has confirmed that Fifteen to One will return for a full series next year.
Adam Hills will host four celebrity editions of the classic TV quiz, while Sandi Toksvig will front a normal series of 20 episodes in the daytime.
A one-off celebrity special was hosted by Hills for Channel 4's 1980s night in September.
William G Stewart presented the original series, which ran from January 1988 to December 2003.
Fifteen to One features 15 contestants attempting to answer questions correctly, while also nominating others to face the next question. The contestants are then whittled down to three finalists, before crowning an eventual winner.
Hills said: "I am thrilled to be part of the ongoing institution that is Fifteen To One. The celebrity specials combine two of my favourite things – general knowledge questions, and the chance to watch well-known people try not to make dicks of themselves in public."

Toksvig added: "I'm thrilled to be taking up the mantle of hosting Fifteen To One. It is a legendary quiz show with tough questions. I'm glad I'll be asking, not answering. I'm also delighted to be back at Channel 4."
Earlier this year when quizzed on a possible return, Hills told Digital Spy: "I think if they bring it back as a daily gameshow, they should have a proper gameshow host.
"I'd be more than happy to do the celebrity Fifteen to One specials, but I think a proper gameshow host should be hosting it.
"There's a fair amount of respect to Fifteen to One, and I think it needs that."
Filming is expected to begin in early 2014, to air later in the year.
Prospective contestants can apply to audition by emailing 15to1apps@remedyproductions.tv. The closing date is January 17, 2014, and early application is encouraged.
