'Arrow': CW superhero drama adds 'Charlie's Angels' star Annie Ilonzeh (original) (raw)

Annie Ilonzeh has joined the cast of The CW pilot Arrow.

The superhero drama will star Stephen Amell (The Vampire Diaries) as DC Comics character Green Arrow / Oliver Queen.

Charlie's Angels star Ilonzeh confirmed to BET that she has won a recurring role in the project.

"I don't have any superpowers, but I'd love to get in there and find out my character has some, too," she said.

The actress added: "I'm a tomboy and I like to kick some ass. So if you randomly see a little leg kick [in a scene], that means I couldn't help myself."

Ilonzeh's past credits include a stint on ABC soap General Hospital and a role on HBO's Entourage.

Other stars attached to the Arrow pilot include Katie Cassidy (Gossip Girl), Colin Salmon (Resident Evil), Colin Donnell (Pan Am), David Ramsey (Dexter), Susanna Thompson (Once and Again), Willa Holland (The OC), Stephen Blackthorne (The River) and Jamey Sheridan (Homeland).

Arrow will be produced by Warner Bros TV, with Game of Thrones director David Nutter hired to helm the pilot.
