  This sounds absolutely awful. Seriously I cannot say this enough, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PURPLE LABEL PRESSINGS !
  I don’t know how they are with other albums but this pressing sounds absolutely lifeless and dull. STAY AWAY YE HAVE BEEN WARNED AVAST THEE

  Sounds like crap. Replace it with a blue or black label pressing.

  I did a shoot out with this newly acquired version vs. my Canadian and US originals. Those two turkeys will never be played on my TT again. This 2008 is crisp, extracting every bit of high and mid range info. The veil has been lifted. Now, the bass response could have been goosed just a bit to match, but that's nitpicking. Get this one, and donate the rest.

  Not a bad sounding pressing especially finding a NM copy for $15. Was hoping to be wowed by it but didn't deliver what I hoped for in this album. Still can't complain with the quietness this copy has and there are some songs this thing does deliver on like Drowning Man and Refugee.

  This SP pressing didn’t sound good to me especially side 1. Side 2 actually sounded better but not by much in my opinion. Such a great album by U2. I will be looking for reviews on better pressings. my2¢

  This sounded tinny, weak and peaky on my system. Word for enough words.

  My copy sounds wonderful. So much detail and separation with each and every instrument; balanced appropriately with Bono’s vocals. Definitely recommended.
