Newspaper Articles Newspaper Articles 13th January 1940, Page: 213, Column: 1 New Miners' Hall Built at a cost of £4,000, the new Welfare Hall for Burradon district miners, in the Welfare Park, was opened on 30th December by Mr. J. Bowman, secretary of Northumberland Miners' Association, and Mr. J. Taylor, the local colliery manager. The building has a dance hail with stage and several ante rooms.
