Consecration of Bishop Elect Father Campeau

Bishop Elect Campeau will be consecrated Bishop and installed as Bishop of the Diocese of Thunder Bay on Thursday February 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Thunder Bay.

Diocesan Administrator

Diocesan Administrator: When a bishop retires and before a new bishop is named by the Pope, a priest, called the Diocesan Administrator is put in charge of the diocese, until the new bishop is installed. Fr. Joseph Arockiam, the present Chancellor of the Diocese, has been elected as the Diocesan Administrator at this time. Father Arockiam will then be available at the Centre for diocesan issues.

The Bishop's Office oversees all day to day operations of the Diocese, the Pastoral Centre and local Catholic parishes. This also includes Diocesan Development, the webmaster, and finance offices.
