I am a playwright, director, translator, librettist, and novelist. I am also the Artistic Director of Untitled Theater Company No. 61, a non-profit indie theater company based in New York. I am also the Artistic Director of the Rehearsal for Truth International Theatre Festival, presented by the Václav Havel Center and the Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association.

Current/upcoming work:

• The Rehearsal for Truth International Theatre Festival will play May 27 - June 14 at The Bohemian National Hall.
• A graphic novel version of Iphigenia in Aulis, with illustrations by Eric Shanower, is available from Image Comics.
• The Left Hand of Darkness, my adaptation of the Ursula K. Le Guin novel, will premiere in 2026 (details to come)
• The filmed version of The Last Cyclist (trailer available here), which I directed, played on Theater Close-Up on WNET (a PBS affiliate).
• My audio drama,The Resistible Rise of JR Brinkleyhas been released as a four-part podcast. Listen to it on Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
