RCA Test Pressings
Vinyl pressed in other color other than blue or black are promotional only and pressed in extremely limited quantities. These were never intended for sale. Heritage Auctions4 reports that the following four colors, green, white, red, and gold vinyl records are all the possible colors that were produced in limited quantities for in-house use only567 It should also be noted that the covers that are found with these special colored vinyl, generally are offered with the Not For Sale Demonstration stamp on the back of the cover and have been found with a colored dot sticker on the front cover to match the color of the vinyl. I do not know if this dot is considered original of if someone had applied them after the fact for their own point of rerence. It would be nice to know this definitively.
