At Englandstats, we are committed to providing you with the most accurate and reliable data on the England national football team. We aim to verify every piece of information from verified contemporary sources, ensuring that you can trust the data you find on our platform.

Our Sourcing Approach

We have three primary aims when it comes to sourcing our data:

Verification from Independent Sources: We strive to verify our match data alongside at least one independent source, from any means.
Contemporary Source per Match: We augment our verification process by incorporating at least one contemporary source for each match, providing a firsthand account of the events as they unfolded.
Multiple Contemporary Sources: Whenever possible, we aim to have at least two contemporary sources per match, further solidifying the accuracy and reliability of our data.

Our Current Progress

Our research efforts, so far:

100.00% of 2,351 match and player pages are verified with at least one independent source.
73.73% of 1066 matches are verified with at least one contemporary source and 54.03% are verified with two or more contemporary sources.
We currently have a vast repository of 6,050 sources.
337 (31.61%) matches have been fully reviewed in detail, utilizing complete video footage or, in the case of early matches, contemporary news reports to ascertain all presented facts. Look for the green tick to identify these thoroughly vetted matches.
