ePractice (original) (raw)

In 2014 the European Commission migrated the ePractice platform to the Joinup platform.

ePractice brought together policy makers and practitioners in the fields of eGovernment, eHealth and eInclusion, and helped them set up online communities to further pursue their common interests. However, ePractice did not provide the tools required to support domain-specific reusable solutions, which Joinup offers out of the box thanks to its catalogue of interoperability solutions. Moreover, this migration also resolved the many overlaps and duplicate synergies concerning public administrations’ interoperability activities, as well as merged the available best practices around eGovernment, eHealth and eInclusion.

Consequently, both ePractice and Joinup users benefit from this consolidation of information into a single platform, as it provides them with a direct link between digital government practitioners and the related interoperability solutions/initiatives.
