45.3 to JWA Taylor, full and wide, Taylor has toe-ended this drive to point. Taylor is gone for 25 off 26. The partnership has been good for England, but you could see Taylor was not at home in this role. Anyway, this brings in Buttler, who will love it from here on. 259/5
Suranga Lakmal 7.4 0 71 1 9.26 25 11 1 2 2
20.2 to IR Bell, bowled him. Against the run of play. Bell goes back shaking his head. He has made a meal of mostly a straight half-volley. Pushes at it just outside off, and gets a big inside edge back onto the stumps. Just plays down the wrong line. 101/3
Angelo Mathews 10 1 43 1 4.30 38 4 1 1 0
9.2 to MM Ali, and a wicket from nowhere. Moeen has thrown this away. A length ball outside off, and he plays a lazy neither-here-nor-there drive. He has neither played the classic off drive along the ground looking to beat mid-off either side. Nor is this a full-blooded attempt to go over the man's head. Almost like he has changed his mind halfway through the shot and has checked that full-bloodied drive. Easy catch for mid-off. Soft dismissal from Moeen. 62/1
Tillakaratne Dilshan 8.2 0 35 1 4.20 24 1 1 0 0
12.2 to GS Ballance, and Ballance goes. Dilshan has woken up too with a lovely catch. Ballance plays a nothing push in front of his body, the ball doesn't turn, hits the inside half of the bat, and lobs back towards the umpire. Dilshan changes direction in follow-through and dives to his left to take the catch. 71/2
Rangana Herath 5.5 0 35 1 6.00 10 3 0 0 0
46.3 to JE Root, Root has reviewed this. He has been given out lbw. Root has tried a reverse-sweep, and has missed it. This is a quicker flatter and straighter delivery. The problem with this shot it, Root is right in front of the stumps when hit by the ball, and that removes any doubt around this lbw decision. Projection shows impact in front of off, the ball clipping leg. 265/6
Thisara Perera 8.1 0 55 1 6.73 24 6 2 0 0
34.3 to EJG Morgan, just before the Powerplay. Morgan had been finding the fielders with almost all his shots so far, and this time he has done it fatally so. This is short of a length, provides him the width, and Morgan goes for the cut, failing to control it. Dilshan at point is wide awake now, and takes it smoothly. Timed it sweetly, but once again hit straight to a fielder. 161/4

18.6 to TM Dilshan, Moeen provides the breakthrough. The dip does it for him. This is full, into the pads, but it has dipped on him. The ball turns out to be shorter than Dilshan first expects it to. Ends up getting a leading edge to short midwicket. 100/1
Joe Root 2 0 12 0 6.00 3 1 0 0 0
