13.4 to LD Chandimal, is he in line? Yes. Does he have an inside edge? It appears not. Chandimal walked down to have a chat with his captain, and Mathews sends him on his way just as the umpire did. Bracewell's inswingers have been on the mark, this one began outside off stump, tempting the batsman into thinking it could be driven through the off side. So forward and across came Chandimal and got trapped. His bat was outside the line and couldn't find a way back in time, his front leg was right in line and he was struck on the knee roll. 54/4

3.5 to TM Dilshan, oh my word! He jumped down the pitch, but then decided he didn't want play. That's credit to Henry for bowling the ball shorter, and getting it to zip back into the batsman. Takes the face of the bat even as Dilshan tries to hide it behind his body and it ends up caught at first slip!. 20/1 7.2 to MD Gunathilaka, what a ripper! Santner threw himself to his left at cover, thuds into the lush green Hagley Oval outfield and comes up with a superb catch. Had his eyes on the prize all the way. It was a fuller ball that tempted the batsman on the drive again. Danushka has not been very keen to keep the ball down and this time Santner's brilliance - he took it with both hands - makes him pay. 31/3 19.4 to SMSM Senanayake, inside edge onto the stumps, New Zealand's pacemen are slicing through Sri Lanka. Henry comes on, bowls a good length just outside off. The batsman helps him by providing a bit of wood to make sure the ball hits off. 81/8 27.4 to KMDN Kulasekara, backs away and smashes a length ball right into the hands at short cover. Smart grab that from Latham, as he jumps up and takes it high over his head. That's all Sri Lanka have for you. The umpires check the front foot, he's fine. He's got another four-for.. 117/10

6.3 to HDRL Thirimanne, slashed high, but not long enough! Thirimanne is appalled at giving it away so easily. The ball was short, it had enough width too. Out came the upper cut, which just drops down the throat of Henry at deep third man. 29/2 14.6 to AD Mathews, another bouncer right over middle, another instance of Mathews looking absolutely awkward after moving across outside off. And to make it worse, he has gloved this behind. The Sri Lanka captain was looking to perhaps nudge it around the corner, but there was just a bit more bounce than he liked. 56/5 18.2 to TAM Siriwardana, picks out point like a sharpshooter. Sri Lanka continue to sink, and its the short ball that's continuing to haunt them. Siriwardana is up on his tippy-toes and he crunches the ball away, but forgets about placement. A few yards either side and he would have beaten Nicholls and got a boundary. 81/6

Ish Sodhi 3 0 12 1 4.00 9 0 0 1 0
22.6 to PVD Chameera, wild appeal from the keeper and the bowler, but I think there was daylight between bat and ball. Someone from the NZ cordon says, "I heard something," so stand-in captain Taylor goes for the review. This was a good length ball that does turn after pitching. Chameera was only half-forward as he goes to block. Hot Spot shows a mark on the edge and he has to go off. Another heck of review.. 94/9
