Euro tournaments are known to create heroes, players who are remembered for their feats long after the tournaments are over. One such name that is remembered from Euro 2020 matches is that of Leonardo Spinazzola. Currently, his name has surfaced since Manchester United is looking to replace some of their injured players. Indeed, Man United has been looking to increase the number of left-back players in their team. Hence the club has been casting their net and agents know that they have big paydays ahead of them.
Many are being considered such as Marc Cucurella of Chelsea and now Leonardo Spinazzola has also been added to the list. As per UEFA data, Spinazzola was elected as one of the fastest players in the Euro 2020 tournament. The full-back player however suffered an ACL later on for which he could not play most of the 2021/22 game season.
In a nail-biting match, England secured their spot in the Euro 2020 final after defeating Denmark 2-1. The game went into extra time when star player Harry Kane managed to score the winning goal, despite having his initial penalty saved by Kasper Schmeichel. This victory marks England’s first major tournament final since 1966 and they will now face Italy in a highly anticipated showdown at Wembley Stadium on July 12th.
Meanwhile, Italy also made it to the final after defeating Spain in their semifinal clash. This impressive win was largely credited to the coaching duo of Roberto Mancini and Gianluca Vialli, who was once known as the “goal twins” during their playing days. Now, as coaches of Italy’s national team, they are still working together to secure victories. Luke Shaw had been responsible for giving England their dream start with an incredible goal after 2 minutes but Italy might have offered nothing in the first half, it took command over the host gradually as they sat back and leveled the playing field after 67 minutes.

Euro 2020-21 might have happened a year later than it was planned but now we can back to a month full of football drama. Sergio Ramos had been left out of the team of Spain for Euro 2020, which took place in the summer of 2021. It is the first time the defender hasn’t been on the team since 2004.
The European Championship pitted England and Italy against each other. In the game, England took the lead with a Luke Shaw strike just in the second minute, the fastest-ever goal in the Euro final. Euro stands for UEFA European Football Championship or the European Championship. This competition mainly sees national teams compete who are members of UEFA. It is said that this football tournament is the most watched, after FIFA World Cup.
Though Euro 2020 was postponed and held in 2021, it retained its Euro 2020 title. As with most international tournaments, this competition also has qualifying rounds. Till 2016 winners in this championship had a direct entry to the following FIFA Confederations Cup. Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup in 2022 before UEFA nations look ahead to their next major tournament with Euro 2024. But where will the European Championship be held? Well, UEFA will take its flagship event to Germany in two years’ time for the 17th edition of the competition. It will be the second time that the nation hosts the event and the first since reunification in 1990. West Germany held the tournament in 1988 and made the semi-finals.
